1 Soccer.
Two great football teams to watch, AC and Inter. Oh right, Benítez is at Inter, make that one great team.
2 Fashion.
It is the world's fashion capital, with menswear such as Cesare Attolini, Etro and Trussardi in addition to the more famous names like Armani and Ermenegildo Zegna. People of style can be seen on the streets as well.
3 Food.
Pizza and pasta everyday, especially with a pizza oven of my own in the garden. Awesome for garden parties or chillax evenings.
4 Nice weather.
The temperature can hit 29ºC in summer and -2ºC in winter, which is just cold enough for snow, but is usually mild and comfortable.
5 Architecture.
There are many historical buildings such as the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II, Duomo di Milano and Teatro alla Scala. In addition, the city is undergoing urban redesign for the Expo 2015 and there are plans for a dynamic tower as well.
6 Rich culture.
Milan has diverse cultural influences, having been under Roman, Spanish, Austrian and French rulerships previously. It has a rich musical and artistic tradition, and is also an international design capital well-known for furniture, such as the iconic Proust Geometrica armchair.
7 Language.
Italian is a nice-sounding language (as are the other Romance languages, maybe because Latin sounded nice in the first place). It is also useful for reading works such as Dante's Divina Commedia or Orlando inamorato and Orlando furioso in their original language. Knowing music theory and food names gives me a headstart in learning it.
8 Cosmopolitan city.
14% of the population are immigrants, and the city has the largest Chinatown in Italy as well.
9 Part of Europe.
EU citizenship makes travelling easy, as does the proximity to so many great tourist destinations.
10 Economy.
Milan is ranked as an Alpha + world city, among the top ten in the world. It is also a major financial and business centre.
